Are you thinking of making a career change? What's holding you back? Most people, despite the fact that they are no longer happy in their current fields, put off making changes because they are scared. One thing that frightens many people and keeps them from changing careers is they are worried they won't have the necessary skills and can't afford to spend the money or the time to acquire them.

Before you give up on your dream of pursuing an occupation because you don't think you meet the requirements, it is worth spending some time looking at your transferable skills. Transferable skills are those skills you've attained in one occupation or job that can be used in another.
