Jet Blue's Work-At-Home Agents

By January 20, 2004

Follow me on:

When you call to make an airline reservation you probably picture the agent at the other end of the line sitting in cube farm. For many airlines that may be accurate. For Jet Blue, however, it is not. All of Jet Blue's reservation agents work from home. In a CBS Evening News story one reservation agent, Suzy Dall, talks about how this arrangement works for her and Jet Blue CEO David Neeleman talks about how it has worked for the company.

Any of you who live in TAMPA FLORIDA that is in a 813 Area Code, Hilton Hotels is currently hiring home-based Reservationists. They are also hiring for other parts of the US .. go here: http://www.hrccjobs.com/career.htm
for more info. I am unfortunately not in the 813 Area Code, but this info may help perhaps somebody else on this board, good luck :)

(71) Just the facts says:

You have to live within 60 min drive to the SLC call center.

There is no up front $ (FYI most companies that require money up front are scamming you.)

You train full time at the center for approx 6 weeks then work from home 95% of the time.

The company provides all the computer equipment. All you need is a phone line and DSL.

(72) Jon says:

When Jet Blue calls you in for a interview they will 1. drug test you. 2. Give you a typing test at least 25 words a min and 5 tries to get 25 words 3. Background check on you (not a credit check) 4 An interview with 2 Jet blue employees at the same time. (stress customer service. How have you help a customer when you are at fault, how have you helped a customer when it was the customer at fault.)
