I am interested in working at home part-time as a travel agent. How do I do this? How much would it cost me up front or monthly to get started?

If you go to the JetBlue Web Site and click “Work Here” on the menu that runs along the bottom of the page, you’ll be brought to a page where you can search for jobs by title and location. You should select “Reservations Crew” under Job Title. I believe you have to live in Salt Lake City to be considered for these positions.

Is there a cost to start out as a jet blue rep/agent? What is the start pay? I would like to work for Jet Blue.

I’ve searched the Jet Blue websited over & over again & ran into dead ends. I’ve searched by reservation crew & customer service, with addtional informaiton, as, well as, no information, however still no information was located. What should I do now to reach employment with Jet Blue?

When this story appeared on CBS and when I wrote the original post (back in January 2004), Jet Blue regularly hired reservation agents who worked from home. From a look around JetBlue’s Web Site, it appears that either they no long do, or that they do not currently have any openings for these positions.

It appears to me that JetBlue is either no longer hiring for this position or else has received so many applicants that they have closed acceptance of any more job seekers.

Hi! As of today 11/11/08 Jet Blue only has openings for Bilingual Reps! You can go to their site & create a profile and be alerted when more positions become available! Good luck!

jetBlue agents do work from home but you do have to live in the Salt Lake City Utah area.

To be a home based agent you MUST live in Salt lake city Utah. For location specific jobs (i.e working at an airport) go to “work here” on jetblue.com . NO ONE HERE IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO HELP YOU GET THIS JOB!!!!

Once you go to http://www.jetblue.com/, look at the vvvvvvvvvery bottom of the page, in small letters. Its says “work here” and it’s underlined. Click on it.

you don’t have to live in SLC…you have to have the area code 801 and be within driving distance to slc to attend meetings……a friend of mine works for jet blue and she does not live in slc but does live within driving distance.

If you can’t even figure out how to use the website, you don’t deserve a job there.

Don’t waste your time, they make $6.15 an hour and you are at their beck and call – not to mention you can never get on a flight stand-by, which is what they offer you for free. They overbook and you are left at the airport with your suitcase!!!

You have to live within 60 min drive to the SLC call center.

There is no up front $ (FYI most companies that require money up front are scamming you.)

You train full time at the center for approx 6 weeks then work from home 95% of the time.

The company provides all the computer equipment. All you need is a phone line and DSL.

When Jet Blue calls you in for a interview they will 1. drug test you. 2. Give you a typing test at least 25 words a min and 5 tries to get 25 words 3. Background check on you (not a credit check) 4 An interview with 2 Jet blue employees at the same time. (stress customer service. How have you help a customer when you are at fault, how have you helped a customer when it was the customer at fault.)

I don’t understand……. every job oppt. the same, background checks..if someones was a stupid kid 7+ years ago no one is interested in you. It makes people like me feel worthless. what ever happened to debt paid to society???
