Rules for Networking

Wednesday April 26, 2006
Wouldn't it be nice, when you had a question about something work-related, if you could just pick up the phone or shoot off an email to someone who could give you advice. Or, wouldn't it be great to get a lead on an unadvertised job opening. You can get advice and job leads from contacts on your network. Career planning experts have long stressed the importance of networking to one's career growth. Through networking you can not only learn about job opportunities, which should not be your primary focus, you can get advice and information from your contacts. Follow these rules to help you maximize the benefits of networking.
