Are You Thinking About a Nursing Career?

Monday October 23, 2006
When I was about four years old I wanted to be a nurse. My grandmother even made me a little uniform that I wore while carrying around a little yellow medical bag. I was facinated with the nurses I saw on television and even though I hated going to the doctor, I loved the nurse. Over the years I changed my career choice several times and never again revisited the idea of becoming a nurse. As I've said a few times when talking about my career choice -- I like helping people; I just don't want to touch them. Clearly a medical career isn't for me.

Have you ever wondered if a career in nursing is right for you? Kathy Quan, the Nursing Guide on About.com, just published an article that can help you decide if this career option is right for you. Kathy explains what a career in nursing entails and why it is a good career choice for some people but not for others. Read, Before You Decide to Become a Nurse.
