Careers Working With Animals

Friday August 10, 2007
My two dogs are getting along in years so their visits to the veterinarian are getting more and more frequent. I'm always amazed at the wonderful care they get when we go there. Everyone, from the veterinarians to the veterinary assistants, is so kind to our dogs and to us. It is clear that they really love the animals and wouldn't want to be doing any other job than this.

I know many people who love animals. One friend said recently that her dream job is one at which she could spend her day petting baby animals. I don't know if such a job exists, but there certainly are many jobs that involve animal care. Veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, groomers and animal trainers are some examples. These jobs cover a wide range when it comes to educational requirements, salaries and job duties. Read Careers Working With Animals to learn more about them.

Yes – there are many careers with animals that don’t involve euthanasia. Try Animal Jobs Direct (http://www.animal-job.co.uk) for advice on careers working with animals.
