When Uno the Beagle won the Westminster Dog Show last week it was big news. 
(c) Greg Nicholas / istockphoto.com He was the first of his breed to win Best in Show at Westminster. Generally the dogs that take the highest honors at dog shows are of the well-coiffed variety. Beagles, with their short coats, probably need little done to make them look beautiful. I doubt, though, that groomers have much to worry about. It seems like everywhere I go people have little dogs with highly-styled hairdos. And, I know that those who carry around their dogs in little pink purses will go to great expenses to make sure their pets look perfect.
