Returning From Vacation

Wednesday August 27, 2008
I just got back from vacation and boy am I feeling stressed. I know — it doesn't make sense. I should feel all relaxed, but I'm not. I was very relaxed while I was away. I really needed this break. Vacations from work are so important. They help re-energize you, increase your productivity and reduce stress. So, why am I feeling stressed after an almost two week break. For one thing, I have a mound of email waiting to be sifted through and answered. That should take a while. And remember how vacations re-energize you? Now that I'm back, I have all these new ideas swirling around in my head and I can't wait to start implementing them. Was taking a vacation worth it? Absolutely. I know after a few days back, when I get through my email and start working on some of my new projects, I'll feel better than I did before I left.
