What's on Your Desk?

Wednesday November 12, 2008
If a man's home is his castle, what is his office or cubicle? Since most of us spend a large percentage of our day at work, it is no surprise that we often try to give our workspace a personal touch. Some of us decorate our offices and cubicles with plants, family photographs and artwork. We have a favorite mug out of which to drink our beverage of choice. We do things to make work feel more like home. Patrick Erwin, on the blog, The Work Buzz from CareerBuilder.com, points out a fun site that sells all sorts of neat stuff for your desk. It's called Office Playground. Things are arranged by categories like desktop gardening, magnetic toys, stress relievers (can't we all use those?) and pin art.

I have my favorite coffee mug and family photographs on my desk. I also print out quotations when I come across interesting ones and hang them on my bulletin board. What do you keep in your office or on your desk? Share your comments, below.

I have a framed photo of a relaxing landscape that I look at to steal moments of calm throughout the day. Also I have a magnetic stuffed crab since I work with crabs!
