What a Mentor Can Do For You

When you are first starting out in a career there are a lot of things you don't know. You may have the training and education you need, but you are lacking real world experience. If only there was someone who could provide you with guidance. Well that person does exist, but you may have to do some searching to find him or her. What you need is a mentor, someone who has more experience in your field than you do, ideally a lot more experience.

A mentor can help guide you when you are just starting out on your career path or even after you have made some progress on it. He or she can give you advice about your career progression, help you problem solve and introduce you to other people in your field. It is certainly a valuable relationship.
