I am someone who have been bullied all of my life from so all of the data given in this article was basic common sense to me except the point about not trying to win others to your side.
Yes, I agree that my actions did speak louder than words but I am human, I am guess I wanted to make sure some people who don’t believe that bullies exist or that they have never met one in person, that they do exist and they have.
I am a petite female so I have spent much of my life looking up to people. There have been a lot of those people who consider that to be an advantage for them to hurt me or control me. My latest situation is “emotional” female not to be taken seriously. My only option is to find another job, but in this market I am lucky to have the job I have with the $$ I make. I just wish I knew how to make this stop. It is taking a huge toll on me.
I wish I had someone to help make this stop. the really sad part is my boss is seemly friendly with her. they do lunch together and smoke breaks together. They have this little highschool click thing going on. I am her administrative support in the office. Today she bogged me down with a deliberate excessive amount of work. The boss was on her side of course. This is just one example. I am wondering if I should go to my bosses boss – which is a board of trustees. its not like they don’t already know the nature of the beast. they saw her in action.
How do you turn to your HR department or anyone else in Management, if there is no trust? This woman in my organization has been terrorizing and bullying people for so many years. Senior Management has continued to turn a blind eye, even when staff after staff were dismissed or resigned as a direct result of her bullying. She won’t stop. She makes it her mission each day to bully us everyday. You are absolutely right about one thing in your article. She makes every effort to always point out a mistake, no matter how minor. She lifts herself up by putting others down.
