Do you love animals? Have you ever considered incorporating that love into a career? If you're thinking, "there's no way I could become a veterinarian. After all, doesn't that take many years of school?" Well, first of all, yes it does. Veterinary school takes four years ... and that's after four years of college. Becoming a veterinarian isn't the only option available to you. You can become a veterinary technician, which requires earning an associate degree, or a veterinary assistant, for which you'll receive on-the-job training. Other options that don't require much formal education include groomer and animal trainer. Learn more about these careers. Read Careers Working With Animals.
