Over the last few years, as the economy and job market have struggled, every time I heard career experts on television, they were telling anyone looking for a new career to go into health care. They reasoned that this field was one of few that had a bright future. There's a little problem with this advice though. While this field may be good for some people, it isn't for everyone. You may not have the right skills and strengths to succeed in a health career. Fortunately, there are other occupations that have good potential for future growth.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts, for example, that employment of market research analysts will grow by 28% through 2018. This makes it one of the fastest growing occupations that require a bachelor's degree.

So, should you become a market research analyst? After all, it seems like the future is bright for those working in this field. Whoa. Slow down. Before you decide to go into this field you need to learn more about it. Read Market Research Analyst: Career Information to get a job description and learn about earnings, educational requirements and advancement opportunities. Learn about a day in the life of a market research analyst. Take a quiz to help you decide if this is a good career choice for you.

Great article, I was previously looking for a advice on career change and had used Onet for research but had not considered US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
