Are you looking for a career that requires only a high school diploma and on-the-job training? You might be interested in becoming an occupational therapy aide. OT Aides work for occupational therapists, preparing treatment rooms and performing clerical duties. With about two years of education after high school, one can become an occupational therapist assistant. OT assistants have more responsibility than OT aides do and their earnings are about double. They provide hands-on care to patients, helping them perform activities and exercises that are part of a treatment plan developed by an occupational therapist.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts an excellent job outlook for both these occupations. They are expected to grow faster through 2018 than occupations that require comparable preparation. Learn more about both of these careers. Read Occupational Therapist Assistants and Occupational Therapy Aides to find out about earnings, educational require and to learn what a day in the life is like for those working in these jobs. Take a quiz to find out if you should become an OT aid or OT assistant.
