Raising Minimum Wage and Tying It to Cost of Living

By February 13, 2013

Follow me on:

In President Barack Obama's 2013 State of the Union Address he asked Congress to increase the minimum wage to $9 from $7.25 (Obama Calls for $9 Minimum Wage, About.com US Government Info). Congress has not increased the minimum wage since 2009. The President also proposed that Congress tie the minimum wage to cost of living. What do you think? Do you think the US minimum wage should be raised to $9. Should Congress increase it more than that? Should they just leave it alone? What about tying minimum wage to cost of living? Do you think it's a good idea?
