How to Get Rid of Your First Day Jitters

Starting something new can be daunting. Take for example starting a new job. You may be filled with trepidation on your first day of work. After all, there's a lot to adjust to. You will have to get used to a new way of doing things, begin relationships with your new co-workers and learn seemingly mundane things like where the restrooms are and where the best places are to get lunch.

There are things you can do to make your transition easier. For example, something as simple as picking out what you will wear each day of your first week can be very helpful. Choose outfits that will make you feel the most confident. A trip to the dry cleaner may be in order and don't forget to replace missing buttons and repair broken zippers. Get a haircut if you need one, but you probably should stay away from changing your hairstyle if the one you have is working for you.
