Trump called Bill and Kwame into the boardroom after the others left and asked each of them who had the easier job. Kwame said managing the golf tournament was easier and Bill said managing the concert was easier. When Trump told Kwame his team criticized him for being too calm, he said "I tend to be calm, cool, and collected. Still waters run deep."
Carolyn told Bill that his team thought he appeared too ruffled. He disagreed. Trump asked Bill if he thought he was better than Kwame. He said that he brings different skills to the table. He also said he is more versatile because of his entrepreneurial background. Kwame said he gave up a lot to be there. Trump agreed and said both Kwame and Bill gave a lot to be there. He then sent them out of the boardroom.
While Bill and Kwame waited in the reception area, Trump, Carolyn, and George discussed the two men. George said Kwame was a better fit for the Trump Organization. Carolyn agreed that Kwame was outstanding, but she saw Bill as a better fit. Then Trump called the men back into the boardroom. He told them they were both winners and said "I love you both." He asked Kwame why he didn't fire Omarosa after she lied to him twice. Kwame said he didn't know he could fire her. Trump told Bill he did a great job at the golf tournament. He then told Kwame he is going to be a big success.
Turning to Bill, Trump announced "You're hired!" Then the camera turned to reveal the audience, sitting right behind Bill. It turned out the boardroom was really a sound stage. All the candidates from the entire season were there as well. Trump then presented Bill with a choice of two jobs. One job was overseeing the building of the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, Bill's hometown. The other was overseeing the construction of a golf course in Los Angeles. Before cutting to commercial, Trump gave Bill three minutes to decide between the two projects. When they returned from break Bill was ready to announce his decision. He chose the project in Chicago because it is his home. Trump told him, "there's going to be a lot of supervision... and I'll be the one supervising." Trump then told Bill, who was sitting with the fired candidates, to take a seat next to him at the table.
Trump then talked to the fired candidates who made it clear the controversy didn't end when they left the competition. Ereka called Omarosa a liar regarding a derogatory term Omarosa alleged Ereka called her. Nick and Amy acknowledged that they dated briefly after the competition but decided they were meant to be close friends. Troy told Trump he is coming back. Sam presented Trump with a briefcase containing $250,000 in exchange for a job. Trump said he would consider it. Trump presented Bill with the keys to a brand new Chrysler Crossfire and told him to go drive around for fifteen minutes before reporting to work (which would have been about 11:15 p.m. since the live episode ended at 11 p.m. eastern).
