Shut Your Mouth, Open Your Ears, Eyes,+
- In your first job, the most important thing is to keep your mouth shut, but keep your eyes, ears and mind wide open. Sure, you have opinions, but you will need to keep them to yourself at first. Be open to new ideas, and you will learn to adapt. Flexibility is also a key- and though you may hate doing them, always consider taking on the tasks that your new co-workers won't (even if it's something simple like making the coffee in the morning). That will endear you to any boss and most co-workers. In time, you'll find your place in this pecking order, and you will learn a lot (especially about yourself). Good luck.
