Employer Looking for Talent

It is extremely difficult finding talented technicians, especially in AZ. I have positions open that I cannot fill. This is a difficult industry to find jobs in and find technicians.

Ceramist Pay

This job is very artistic. It's a great fit for artists who find it hard to apply that in a job. I agree that, at least for ceramists, the pay posted here is very low. My experience is atl east 20-35 (management).

Stupid Award

I'm a dental tech in Oz and the accepted pay is around 25 per hour. The award rate is less than 20. Why bother doing a four year apprenticeship and about 50 grand worth of training to earn less than a waitress?

overall

There are so many things that go into being a dental tech. It is an interesting job that is also rewarding. I think it teaches you a part of being very technical, patient, part scientist, part artist, and sometimes part magician. the only thing that makes me wonder, is the pay, but I guess that depends partly on how you do, and who your employer is, and also the ever raising price of gold.

salaries

As the field of cosmetic dentistry broadens and the patients' expectations increase it's becoming more and more difficult to find real competent techs especially when it comes to implants. This salary posted is a joke. No one with any skill would work for this hourly rate.
